Why does the Super Series only use Standard format in its tournaments?

Jeff Donais, DCI Manager, responds: "The Junior Super Series uses the Standard format because it is the most universal and accessible format for newer players (which the Super Series is aimed at). With the new age restriction of 15 and under, we feel it is more valuable for younger players to learn and develop their Standard format skills before moving on to drafting. While many of the players at the top end of the age range would have little trouble developing their draft skills, we decided to pick a single format that all players could develop fairly painlessly."
